Provincial Parks
In general, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are not permitted in any provincial park except in a designated area with written authorization from the Park Superintendent. ATV use is not permitted in Petroglyphs Provincial Park, however, ATVs are permitted in some circumstances at Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park (e.g. to allow a private land owner access to their property where it is entirely surrounded by the park). The Provincial Park and Conservations Reserves Act and the Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park Act specifies the permitted uses within a provincial park. For greater certainty, it is recommended that members of the public contact the provincial park of interest directly to confirm if ATV's may be used and if so, when and where. Provincial park contact information can be found by visiting Ontario Parks
